Completing Work

Marking tasks done, completing an allocation, what happens when you declare you're finished, and autoComplete tasks.

Completing Work

Marking things done isn't just hygiene — it feeds back into the budget and frees capacity for the team.

Marking a task done

Click the checkmark on any task, or use the status picker in the task detail. The task disappears from your active list and its remaining hours drop to zero.

Via Telegram: "fatto [task name]" or "mark [task] as done".

When you complete a task:

  • Its remaining allocation is returned to the project's unassigned pool
  • The planner removes it from future agenda days
  • If the task has a reviewer, they receive a notification

Closing with or without logging

When you mark a task done, the system checks if there's unlogged allocated time:

  • Already logged some time — you'll see the logged total and a suggested remaining duration. You can either log the remaining hours or choose "Close without logging" to keep only what you've already logged.
  • No time logged at all — you're asked to either log time or confirm you want to close without it.

This works the same across all surfaces: the web task list, the Telegram mini-app, and the PM task views.

Completing an allocation ("I'm done with this project")

When you've finished all your work on a project, you can complete your allocation — not just individual tasks. This tells the PM you're done and releases any remaining unspent hours back to the project budget.

In the task list, open the project group overflow menu and choose "Complete my allocation". Or tell the bot: "ho finito con il progetto [name]".

What happens:

  • Your unused budget hours return to the project pool (the PM can reallocate them)
  • Your remaining tasks on that project are marked done
  • The PM receives a notification: "[Your name] completed their allocation on [Project] — X hours freed"

autoComplete tasks

Some tasks — meetings, standups, recurring calls — are marked autoComplete. These tasks:

  • Log time automatically at end of day (based on their estimated duration)
  • Mark themselves done without requiring manual action

You don't need to start a timer or mark them done yourself. If the meeting was cancelled, you can manually mark it done early (or delete the entry if no time should be logged).

AutoComplete is typically set by the PM when creating template-based tasks. You can identify them by the clock icon with an "A" badge in the task list.
