Budgets Report
Project budget burn by member, period, and discipline with health status indicators.
Budgets Report
The Budgets report (/reports/budgets) shows how each project is tracking against its budget envelope.
Key metrics
| Metric | Description |

| Total budget hours | Sum of all period budgets |
| Tracked hours | Actual logged hours to date |
| Tracked cost | sum(member.pricePerHour × loggedHours) |
| % Used | trackedHours / budgetHours × 100 |
| Budget status | under / near / over |
Breakdowns
Each project card expands to show breakdowns by:
- Member — who logged what, at what cost
- Period — which time slice is burning fastest
- Function — which discipline is consuming budget
Filters
- Date range — limit to a period (e.g. this month)
- Client — single client view
- Status — filter by project status (
active,completed, etc.) - Billing type — fixed vs T&M only
Budget status colours
| Colour | Status | % Used |
|---|---|---|
| Green | under | < 75% |
| Yellow | near | 75–90% |
| Red | over | > 90% |
Export
- Export → CSV downloads the full budget table for external reporting.
- Export → PDF generates a formatted report with budget bars and status indicators for client presentations.
Saved reports
You can save any filtered budget view as a Saved Report and share it via a link with optional password protection.
