Budget Health
How PayMe detects when a fixed-price project is burning budget faster than it's delivering work.
Budget Health
Budget health compares how fast you're spending hours against how much work you're completing. It matters most for fixed-price projects where overspend directly erodes margin.
Health statuses
| Status | Condition | What it means |
|---|---|---|
healthy | On track or 100% done | No action needed |
warning | > 60% budget burned, completion lags > 5 points | Watch closely |
danger | > 80% budget burned, completion lags > 10 points | Intervene now |
Example: 70% of hours used, only 50% of tasks done → warning (lag = 20 points, burn > 60%).

Telegram nudge
When a project reaches warning or danger, the intelligence scanner sends a Telegram message to the PM:
⚠️ Luna Project — Budget Warning
72% of budget used, only 48% complete. Projected overrun: 12h
Top consumers: Marco (28h), Anna (14h)
Time and materials note
For time-and-materials projects, budget health is always healthy because overspend is billable — the client pays for actual hours.
